Balayage is the French word for sweeping.  With the Balayage technique, highlights literally are swept onto the hair with thick paste. 

Specially trained Jon Charles colorists will give you the classic radiant look of Balayage through this distinctive application process.

The hair is lightened gradually as it moves away from scalp, coated only on the top layers, with the lightest hair at the ends.  Colorists sweep and paint the hair with a pattern that can be layered to achieve a glow that ranges from subtle and natural to more dramatic.

The effect is extremely luminous, sun-kissed highlights that only the Jon Charles system can produce.
