"I have known Jon for 30 years. We were in junior high shool together (in AV club!). I was his friend back when he first decided to go to cosmetology school, and started his first initial stylist job in St.Cloud (JB Company). I ran into him a few years later in Minneapolis, at which time he was now committed to Rocco Altobelli. I saw him learn to shape his talent and energy into salon management (Edina then Downtown), and then ultimately into becoming an entrepeneur. I was proud when Loreal made him a training specialist - which led him to represent their technique around the country. Urban Retreat was a remarkable evolution for Jon - where he forged his imprint. Thankfully that eventual setback did not take the wind out of his sails. He bounced back with the Best Buy "eq life" salon, where he polished his corporate skills, and rounded fully honed the edges of his business sense. Soon after, he achieved what he had talked about for over 10 years - owning his own Salon. Now he is bringing his vision to the craft, on his own terms. [ I love that!!! ] -- As for the JC salon, I was taken back the first time I stepped foot into the place. The floors and walls were beautiful (nice job Jill), and I could really see Jon's eye for detail. And location location location! Nice job Jon - Keep on impressing me." Erick Wright is a Senior Web Developer for Network Operations Staff, for Qwest Communications Intl. Inc. Minneapolis / Denver. He is also alumni and a member of the academic staff at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus.
